The story behind the design
The Sun has been represented in decorative art for centuries, its radiating form lending itself beautifully to patterns and ornamentation. This design takes its character from the fine lines and engraved appearance of traditional copper decoration, reimagined through drawing.
Layer upon layer of lines gives the motif a sense of depth and movement, allowing the Sun to emerge almost as though it has been etched into the surface. Presented in Green or warm Copper & Gold, each colour brings a different character to the same original design.
